Depression

It just creeps up on you…

Can you tell when you are depressed?

There are many symptoms of depression. Sometimes depression feels obvious. Sometimes it can be quite subtle. When depressed, you may feel tired, sad, bored, unmotivated, tearful, hopeless, and angry. You could also experience depression as blah and indifference. Depression can be a chronic “way of being” or can be a result of life circumstances that seem to hang on for several months.

How I will help you

We will first begin my spending time assessing why you are anxious, depressed, or if you are experiencing trauma. We will next address your history and how this feeds into your state of mind. I will work with you to listen, understand, teach, and direct you in ways that could reduce your symptoms. This can take some time as I am wanting to know what triggers your depression and what motivates and helps you.

Everyone is unique and sometimes therapy can make things feel worse before they feel better. The goal is to eventually help you manage the unmanageable.
